Micro spray tape, also known as rain hose or spray tube, is a lay-flat PE hose with laser-punched hole groups that spray water in a fine mist over the crop bed. Compared with drip tape, it provides wider wetted coverage and is suitable for close-planted crops such as leafy vegetables, garlic, onion, wheat and nursery beds. Depending on the model and operating pressure, the spray width can reach 2–6 m. The lightweight and low-cost hose can operate with a small pump or gravity tank, making it easy to move between plots and practical for smallholder farm irrigation.
